About
Jenna Mayzouni is a Palestinian Jordanian American author. She has lived in Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, the countries of Jordan, Qatar, and Morocco, and now currently residing in California. Her stories focus on the narratives of BIPOC, immigrants, and trauma, with a keen interest in intrapersonal family dynamics.

Jenna went to college at Denison University and majored in International Studies and minored in English Literature, focusing on immigration and women's rights. After she graduated she worked as a domestic violence advocate, which emphasized to her the importance of mental health awareness and the systematic marginalization of women of color. She also runs an Instagram book page @woc_lit, dedicated to highlighting BIPOC women authors from around the world. Her work has been featured in Authentic Voices Anthology by the Women's National Book Association, Women's Republic, and AnimeFem.
